An insight into "black magic" : curses, bad luck, spells,
aions, and living objects... shedding light on these taboo subjects.
We all experience difficult situations and obstacles to overcome in our lives. But when “black magic” is present in a life (whether in a place or on a person), it can lead to repeated failures and problems, endless material and health concerns, obstacles and pitfalls in every project, and life can then become a real struggle...
This form of magic is often known to be taboo or even frightening to many. When we hear this term, we may quickly think of the continent of Africa or other countries known to be exposed to and subject to this practice. But it has existed since the dawn of time and is present all over the world, including in France. But what are we talking about when we refer to black magic, and what forms can it take?
WHAT IS “BLACK MAGIC” AND IN WHAT FORM CAN IT BE PRESENT IN OUR LIVES?
Widely used throughout the world, the term “black magic” traditionally refers to the use of ‘magical’ or “supernatural” practices for selfish or evil purposes. But this term is much broader than that and encompasses a wide range of phenomena that can be classified as such in terms of both their impact and their nature. Despite popular belief, it is not always the result of occult spiritual ceremonies or invocations of malevolent spirits and can be present in a place much more frequently than we think, in very different forms depending on the situation:
Jealousy, bad intentions, and negative thoughts:
The most common form of “black magic” that can be found and identified in places is that which is consciously or unconsciously sent by jealous or negative thoughts from others. Yes, negative and harmful thoughts repeatedly directed at someone can create what are known as “egregores” in the energy spheres. These malicious thoughts, often intended to harm us, gradually take on a life of their own, creating knots in the energy and acting on matter. This can lead to many obstacles, ranging from minor everyday worries to the onset of illness or even more serious problems.
The island of New Caledonia, where I lived for over a year, is a very telling example in my opinion. On this energetically powerful land, where the people are deeply connected to the spirit world and their ancestors, a single misaligned word spoken to someone can cast a spell. You will often hear the Kanak mamas of these islands say “speak kindly” to young people, because they know that words have power... and they work fast.
“Living objects” and artifacts from abroad:
Masks, totems, jewelry, statuettes, trinkets... Many travelers have felt the urge to return home with certain artifacts to decorate their homes or bring back a “souvenir” of their trip. Most of the time, the objects brought back from a trip will be mundane and insignificant and will have no impact. But sometimes other objects are much more than simple artifacts and are much more alive than we think. As mentioned above, “black magic” is found all over the world, but it is particularly prevalent and even cultural in certain countries such as North Africa and Eastern Europe, as well as on small islands such as Polynesia, the Marquesas, New Caledonia, the Caribbean, Reunion, Mauritius, and Madagascar, where jealousy between people is very common.
In these particular places on Earth, intentional “black magic” or magic in the form of ceremonies is commonplace, and it is important to be careful about what kinds of souvenirs we bring home from abroad, lest we end up with unwanted company. Some objects have been used in rituals for malicious purposes and may carry one or more of the spirits invoked.
These are the objects that were used to summon them and are therefore “possessed.” They are portals to powerful energies that I would not describe as “benevolent” and could cause a lot of trouble for their purchaser.
Other objects, such as sculptures by local artists, can also be highly charged and carry energy within them: artists on the islands are often very connected and literally bring some of their creations to life. Depending on the creator's intention and energies, the energy that comes to life in the object will be different. It is very common to find statuettes, totems, or masks that are much more than mere trinkets. These living objects created by artists can be either charged or carry a very benevolent vibration, but this will depend directly on the artist's intention during their creation.
To avoid any problems, it is important to consider whether or not it is appropriate to bring back any object from a foreign country. When it comes to sculptures, if possible, ask the artist to tell you the story behind their creation.
* “Shamanic tools” such as drums and rattles are living objects; they carry within them consciousnesses that were consciously or unconsciously invoked during their creation. Playing the drum, or rather allowing oneself to be played by it, is a call, an invocation, and opens energetic doors through which consciousnesses pass, both benevolent and malevolent. *
Curses and spells:
These phenomena often lead directly to popular beliefs about “black magic,” i.e., participation in occult ceremonies and often the invocation and making of pacts for specific requests to specific spirits in order to achieve malicious and/or purely selfish goals.
Unlike white magic, this form of black magic can take effect quickly, because even if the request is completely misaligned, it will often still be accepted. It will have specific and harmful consequences in the life of the person or place targeted, often in particular areas (real estate, love, family, etc.). Some people also use this form of magic for personal gain, to attract specific things into their lives: money, work, a certain person (bewitchment), etc. Whether for themselves or to harm someone else, the person making these requests takes great risks themselves in this practice because they are making a pact with these spirits, which will often have regrettable consequences and impacts on their own life and future generations...
The purpose of this pact is to cast a spell or curse on a person and often their entire lineage over several generations, and can cause phenomena such as bad luck, separation, accidents, illness, repeated obstacles in life, etc. etc. Depending on the intention and the request, the consequences of this magic can range from frequent “minor” everyday worries to much more dramatic phenomena. When this spell concerns a place, the consequences can be varied and can pass from owner to owner: repeated problems with the place, problems with work or projects, problems selling the house, conflicts in the home/divorce, specific chronic illness, etc.
Sometimes an entire lineage is under the influence of a curse, not received from someone outside the family, but due to an ancestor who came into contact with particular spirits, ultimately bewitching themselves and their entire future lineage.
Elements of Nature:
And finally, phenomena that I would not entirely classify as black magic but which can sometimes have similar effects are certain elements of nature that we can sometimes bring home with us. Most of the time, the elements we bring home in our bags will be completely neutral and will have no particular impact. (A stone found on the side of a path, a stick, shells from the beach for the children, etc.)
But in specific places, such as “sacred sites” (e.g., Machu Picchu, the Pyramids of Giza, Stonehenge, etc.) or the gardens of important places of healing or rest such as cathedrals or cemeteries, taking a souvenir is not necessarily a very good idea. This is related to the energetic structure of the place, which is very precise, with each element having its place and importance. Removing one of these elements disturbs the whole place as well as the spirits present. It is often the latter who will make us understand this afterwards, kindly or less kindly indicating that we should return the item in question to its place. What can often happen shortly after collecting this item is that you stumble repeatedly, hurt yourself, lose the container in which you placed the item, or have it confiscated when leaving the country. At home, you may experience repeated problems or things may disappear since your trip or outing.
The advice is to listen carefully to yourself to see if this is right and to ask before taking anything with you.
Regardless of the nature of the black magic involved, there are specific tools and practices to cancel or deactivate it. When black magic is present in a place, it is necessary to neutralize it so that the place can regain its energy balance and be realigned with a bright and healthy vibration.
